IMPORTANT CUSTOMER REMINDER: Outstanding Customer Security Deposit Balances

 

Tortola, British Virgin Islands, July 9, 2026 — The British Virgin Islands Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) wishes to remind customers with outstanding Customer Security Deposit balances that an extended opportunity has been provided to settle these amounts before further action is taken.

We understand that account adjustments can create questions and concerns, and BVIEC remains committed to assisting customers with clarity on their accounts. Customers with outstanding Customer Security Deposit balances are therefore encouraged to review their accounts and make the necessary payment arrangements as soon as possible.

Payment Deadline
Customers are reminded that all outstanding Customer Security Deposit balances should be paid in full on or before Friday, July 31, 2026.

As BVIEC resumes implementation of its Customer Security Deposit Policy, customers who do not settle their outstanding deposit balance by this date may become subject to disconnection of electricity service beginning in August 2026.

Customers who are disconnected due to non-payment of their Customer Security Deposit will be required to pay the outstanding deposit balance in full, along with any applicable due bills and reconnection fees, before service can be restored.

Customers who are unsure of their Customer Security Deposit balance, or who need further clarification, are encouraged to contact BVIEC’s Customer Service Unit before the deadline to discuss their account.
