Job Summary:
The PCTS Assistant provides essential administrative, coordination, and service support to the People, Culture & Talent Services Department. This role strengthens BVIEC’s commitment to a high performing, people focused culture by ensuring smooth HR operations, timely communication, accurate record keeping, and a positive employee experience. The PCTS Assistant works closely with the PCTS Manager and wider team to support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, learning and development, HRIS administration, and compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with job postings, application tracking, and candidate communication.
- Schedule interviews, prepare interview packages, and support assessment administration.
- Assist with pre-employment checks, reference verification, and onboarding documentation, employment checks, reference verification, and onboarding documentation.
- Prepare welcome materials and support new hire orientation logistics.
- Maintain accurate employee files (digital and physical) in accordance with BVIEC policies and BVI Labour Code requirements.
- Draft routine HR correspondence for review.
- Support the preparation of reports, dashboards, and HR metrics, as required.
- Assist with wellness initiatives, staff events, and internal communication activities.
- Respond to routine employee queries with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Support the administration of employee benefits, training sessions, and recognition programmes.
- Ensure HR processes align with BVIEC policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Assist with audits, data verification, and document preparation for governance reviews.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold BVIEC’s standards for data protection and ethical conduct.
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and prepare agendas and minutes for PCTS related sessions.
- Coordinate logistics for training, and internal meetings.
- Support special projects, research, and process improvement initiatives led by the PCTS Manager.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Associate Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 1–2 years of administrative or HR support experience.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., BambooHR) is an asset.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality and HR best practices.
Work Environment:
- Office based role with occasional fieldwork for events or engagement activities.
- Travels to sister islands to perform duties on behalf of the Corporation;
- Requires handling confidential information with strict adherence to BVIEC policies.
- May involve extended hours during peak recruitment or project cycles.
- As an essential services organization, BVIEC may require employees in this role to report to work or provide support during storms, emergencies, or other disaster‑related events, in accordance with established policies and safety protocols. Employees may also be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
Compensation
- Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
