BVIEC SHOCKERS TOASTMASTERS EXECUTIVES COMPLETE ROUND 1 OF DISTRICT 81 CLUB OFFICERS TRAINING

 

Tortola, British Virgin Islands, August 29, 2025 — The BVI Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) Shockers Toastmasters Club is pleased to announce that all seven members of its 2025–2026 executive committee have successfully completed the year’s first District 81 Club Officers Training, held under the theme “Anchored in Leadership, Sailing Towards Success.”

The training, which brought together club leaders from across the Caribbean region, is a critical component of the Toastmasters International leadership framework and equips club officers with the tools and strategies needed to effectively serve their members and foster growth.

The BVIEC Shockers executive committee members who completed the training are:

  • Vice President Education – Sharie-Ann M. Stapleton
  • Vice President Membership – Delight Charles
  • Vice President Public Relations – Kamal Haynes
  • Secretary – Shenelle Christopher
  • Treasurer – Bevin George
  • Sergeant at Arms – Tavonney Robinson

The training covered key leadership competencies, best practices for club operations, member engagement, and effective communication—all essential for guiding the club through a successful Toastmasters year.

Club President Leslie Allen Jr. expressed his enthusiasm following the training, noting, “This experience was both empowering and enlightening. Our team is now fully prepared and motivated to lead with purpose, support our members, and continue building on the strong foundation set by our predecessors.”

The BVIEC Shockers Toastmasters Club, chartered in February 2024, has already achieved President’s Distinguished Club status and continues to grow as a hub for leadership and communication development within the Corporation. With a fully trained executive team, the Club is well-positioned to deliver a dynamic and impactful 2025–2026 Toastmasters year.
