The BVI Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) would like to inform its valued customers that on Saturday, 6th May 2023 at approximately 10:17 a.m. a fault occurred at the Henry Wilford Smith Power Station which resulted in a total system shutdown.
The entire grid was restored by 2:55 p.m. and the cause of the fault is currently under investigation.
The Corporation would like to thank you for your patience, and we regret any inconvenience caused.
