Applications are invited from suitably qualified Candidates to fill the position of Administrative Assistant – Transmission & Distribution Department.

1. EXPERIENCE AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:

The successful applicant should:

· Possess the minimum of an Associates Degree in Business Administration;

· Possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills;

· Possess basic book-keeping skills;

· Must be detail oriented;

· Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other office software;

· Organizational Skill; and

· Have at least 3-5 years working experience in an office environment.

2. SALARY:

The entry level range is Grade 4 which is in the salary scale of $30,400.00 – $51,250.00 per annum. Salary will be determined commensurate with qualification and experience.

3. DUTIES

1. Coordinate the installation and maintenance of VHF radios for all BVIEC vehicles and base outlets.

2. Dispatch Outage Notices to all relevant Media and Social Media platforms.

3. Manage database for faults on the Distribution network i.e. faulty streetlights, line clearing, and issues with electrical supply, for maintenance crew.

4. Draft and prepare various correspondences to employees for the Transmission and Distribution Department.

5. Prepare attendance records and assist with the time-keeping functions of the department by monitoring the biometric report and attendance practices for all employees.

6. Prepare requisitions for local purchase orders.

7. Assist customers with purchase of materials from the Corporation.

8. Record ad prepare minutes for meetings conducted in the department.

9. Ensure the department has the necessary stationary for employees to carry out their duties, as well as management of travel tickets to sister islands.

10. Assist employees with written documents.

11. Maintaining a good working relationship with all employees of the Corporation.

12. Any other duties as assigned from time to time within your competence.
