BVI Electricity Corporation Issues a Request for Proposal

On 23rd December 2024, the British Virgin Islands Electricity Corporation issued a Request for Proposal for qualified companies to express their interest in the Supply and Installation of a SCADA/DMS/OMS, Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) and Distribution Automation Field Devices.

DSCADA – Frequently Asked Questions

1. Are some payment conditions pre-defined in accordance with the requested deliverables?

R/ The terms of payment based on the contracted milestones will be included in the Contract. The deliverables milestones shall be in full concordance with the Implementation Plan proposed by the Providers.

2. Is it a mandatory requirement to attend the technical visits in site (Jan 28th and 29th) to participate in the bid?

R/ It is mandatory to attend if your intention is to prepare a proposal.

3. Do I need an invitation letter or a registration to submit a bid?

R/ A supplier registration is not required for this process, so we strongly encourage you to review the documentation posted in the following link https://bvielectricity.com/dscada.

4. Related to the Site visit scheduled for 4th & 5th February, could you please provide some details on agenda, requirements in Protection equipment if the case.

R1/ The preliminary agenda would be:

Day 1: – Introduction of the team

– Brief description of the Project Scope and Timeline

– Visit to main electrical facilities in Tortola

Day 2: – Visit to main electrical facilities in Virgin Gorda or Anegada

– Gathering questions or inquiries from the potential bidder.

R2/ There is no special protection equipment required.
