BVIEC REMINDS SUPPLIERS AND SERVICE PROVIDERS OF PURCHASE ORDER REQUIREMENT

Tortola, British Virgin Islands, October 14, 2025 — The BVI Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) is reminding all businesses, contractors, and individuals who provide goods or services to the Corporation that no work should be commenced or executed without the issuance of an official Purchase Order (P.O.), unless a Contractual Agreement, Standing Agreement, or Cash payment has been received for the services being rendered.

This reminder aligns with BVIEC’s Financial Procedures, which clearly outline that—except in emergency circumstances—no goods or services should be rendered to the Corporation without a valid Purchase Order.

The Corporation advises all suppliers and service providers to ensure that the appropriate documentation or agreements are in place prior to the start of any work. This measure helps to prevent delays in processing and payment, while also reinforcing BVIEC’s commitment to sound financial management, transparency, and accountability.

BVIEC extends its appreciation to all stakeholders for their continued cooperation and partnership as the Corporation strives to maintain efficient and compliant business operations.
