DEMOLITION OF RETIRED POWER STATION AT LONG BUSH AND CONSTRUCTION OF NEW BUILDING
Changes made:
- Addition of the full demolition to the Tender request which was initially under Tender Request 4 of 2024
- Update of the Bill of Quantities to include larger quantity of concrete
- Supply of the Bill of Quantities in Excel Form
- Addition of areas which are demolished to grade or to foundation.

The BVI Electricity Corporation invites tenders for the construction of a protective structure over the remaining engine at its Long Bush facility and selective demolition of the outlined buildings to the existing grade our foundation as per the drawings.
Scope of Works
The proposed works comprise of providing all plant, labour, equipment and materials and performing all works in connection with the following:
1. Temporary protection of the assets during construction
2. Removal of concrete structures
Instructions to Tenderers
Tenderers are required to furnish the following:
1. The completed Bill of Quantities as provided.
2. A List of projects undertaken by the Tenderer within the past (5) years that demonstrate the Tenderer’s experience in delivering similar projects.
3. A list of Current Contract Commitments/Work in Progress.
4. A detailed Work Programme and Method Statement showing the order in which the various sections of works are to be executed, timelines for completion and the rates of progress.
5. A copy of valid Trade License.
6. Any other materials required to be completed and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Tenderers embodied in these Tender Documents.
Failure to comply with any of the instructions concerning the completion and submission of these documents may render (at BVIEC’s absolute discretion) the Tender non-responsive.
Failure to fully assess all associated costs, shall not relieve the tenderer of the responsibility to properly evaluate the difficulty or cost of successfully performing the contract.
The Procurement process will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) process.

Submission of Tenders
Please submit tenders to BVIEC (electronically at bviecgm@bvielectricity.com) or physically at our Long Bush Office no later than 10:00 a.m. local time on Friday May 17, 2024. Tenders will not be acknowledged after this date and time.
