VACANCY

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Candidates to fill the position of LABOURER – GENERATION DEPARTMENT (TORTOLA).

1. EXPERIENCE AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate should:

· Possess basic competency in English.

· Have at least two (2) years working experience in the labour/construction field.

2. SALARY:

The entry level range is Grade 1 which is in the salary scale of $17,500.00 – $34,300.00 per annum.

Salary will be determined commensurate with qualifications and experience.

3.  DUTIES:

1. Keeping the Corporation’s compound clean; this includes:

a. Pruning, watering and trimming of trees and plants;

b. Cleaning driveways;

c. Cutting grass and raking leaves;

2. Painting around the Corporation’s compound from time to time.

3. Maintaining the cleanliness of the Power Station by frequently mopping and sweeping floors and cleaning engines.

4. Changing of light fixtures in the Corporation’s buildings.

5. Moving oil drums to burner area.

6. Assisting with cleaning up in the event of a fuel or oil spill.

7. Cleaning of the Power Stations drainage system.

8. Maintaining a good working relationship with all employees of the Corporation.

9. Any other duties as assigned from time to time within your competence.
